College Essay - My Christian Faith
As a passionate truster of Jesus Christ and developing up in a family strongly rooted in Christian beliefs, the thought of a different perspective on righteousness seemed trivial to me. Who wouldnt believe in the manhood who was God in the flesh, endured wondrous torture, and ultimately gave his life so t eyelid our sins would be forgiven? I would concisely find out as my church journey took me to a place I never thought I would go. At confirmation class hotshot Wednesday evening, my youth leader sensible us we would be tour a Judaic temple to experience how others in our confederacy worship. The thought of entering a place full of throng devoted to a religion that was different than mine all bewildered me. The bus get to there was full of vagabond thoughts and preconceived notions of this mysterious place. \nWe pulled up and the building was absolutely beautiful, close like something that belonged in a magazine. Outside the huge woody gateways, which seemed to be tw ice the coat of my 67 brother, waited a man with a nightie and a little hat covering only the soupcon of his head. He welcomed us with a polite hello and held the door as each wide-eyed child meandered through. To the left and right, baskets were fill up with those same hats that the man who greeted us was wearing. We learned that these hats were called yarmulkes and were usually weak by men, which is a Jewish tradition. Each row of the synagogue was lined with visiting slew and Torahs. The military service began with harmonious voices and still prayers, similar to how my church service begins. Throughout the service, the rabbi taught lessons of faith, blessed the congregation, and sometimes spoke in a strange language that I couldnt quite understand. shape up the end of the service, offerings, called Korbanot, were fulfilled and a reading from The Torah was given.
